I build my tables using the time-honored mortise-and-tenon joinery technique.  These joints are strong and visually appealing.
I specialize in tables reminiscent of the simple furniture built by the Shakers of the middle and eastern U.S. since the mid-18th century.  The following are examples of tables I have built on commission.

This red- and white-oak coffee table is a bit higher than normal--about 20 inches.  It's high enough for one to sit on the sofa and do paperwork, but low enough for one to sit back and prop up his feet.
